First Baptist Cleveland has a passion for developing leaders for the greater Church.

The Lockerman Leadership Institute, announced on Sunday, August 4, 2019, is a program designed to develop and equip leaders to do the work of ministry. The Institute provides practical training, discipleship, direction, wisdom, and opportunities to people called to ministry.

Most notably, the Lockerman Leadership Institute emphasizes placing bivocational pastors in the surrounding region,  who may lack seminary training and experience, alongside leaders like Dr. Allan Lockerman, Pastor Jordan Easley, and Dr. Ernest Easley in order to effectively equip them to shepherd their churches for the betterment of the kingdom of God.

So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
